History

It all started in the year 2005. I was watching the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards and during commercial break, they announced that after the KCA,a brand new show would be premiering. The name of the show was “Avatar: The Last Airbender” ofcourse but I wasn’t interested in it at all because basing on the previews, it looked like an Anime show and I’m not really into Anime (yes, an Asian who isn’t an Anime fan…how awkward… though, I used to like some specific Anime shows when I was younger).

As time passed, my cousin and brother for some reason got kinda interested in the show. That time, I didn’t know why they did because the show looked all so “corny” to me. But on the summer of 2007, Nickelodeon announced that there was going to be a a new season of “Avatar: The Legend of Aang” (yep, they call it that here) so my brother and cousin looked forward to it. On the day the new season premiered, I decided to watch it along with them (I don’t remember why though). I had already watched a few episodes of the first season (Book 1: Water) but the show still seemed pretty boring to me but for some reason, I just decided to watch the second season. After watching the first few episodes of Book 2: Earth, the show got my interest. When the episodes, “Blind Bandit” and “Zuko Alone” premiered, I really got hooked on the show. The rest of the summer, the only thing I could talk about was Avatar this and Avatar that- I was officially an Avatard!

After watching the Book 3 series finale, I haven’t been into Avatar as much anymore. I knew there was going to be a movie since like January 2008 but there was just no news about it whatsoever. For several months, I completely forgot about Avatar. It was only sometime around June 20,2009 when I got into Avatar again after finding out that the upcoming movie trailer had been leaked. When I found out more stuff about the so-called “The Last Airbender” movie, I decided that it needed more fansites so I came up with this crazy idea to make one and here it is now. =]
